I headed back into the studio with Saunder and Danny from Stenfertcharles to put together strings for the upcoming movie, Boy Erased. Starring Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe and Lucas Hedges. It was definitely the most start power movie I’ve ever worked on!
We did one day of tracking four cellos and two days of eight violins. As usual, it was an amazing experience working with Danny and Saunder. A lot of what we do for these film scores is playing with sounds and textures. It’s a lot of experimentation, we all work together to find the right sound.
It was my first time seeing myself in the credits of a movie, which was really cool.
It’s an intense movie to watch, I had no idea so many children have to go to conversion camps. I’m glad this story was brought to life and I loved Nicole Kidman in it 🙂
